Amsterdam | 16–19 September 2026
The 27th BGI GLOBAL International Congress took place from 16 to 19 September, and on this occasion was held in Amsterdam
Our hosts, Van Till https://bgiglobal-law.com/firms/bgi-netherlands/, organised a programme centred on Artificial Intelligence, featuring specialist speakers, interactive discussions and collaborative demonstrations. The event explored how AI is transforming the legal profession and what it means to remain a trusted adviser in a rapidly changing world.
Under the slogan ‘Making Waves – Navigating the AI Tide’, the aim was to show how businesses and professionals must learn to adapt, survive and capitalise on the huge wave of change that artificial intelligence is bringing about today. In short, to learn how to use the new AI tools to make good decisions, be more productive and avoid being left behind.
The question is no longer whether AI will have an impact, but how we can harness its potential without compromising the trust, judgement and experience that define our profession.
All the partners from our firm’s three offices attended on behalf of BGI LAW. They were joined by partners and solicitors from 19 countries, bringing the total number of delegates in the Conference Room to 33, where internal matters were discussed and the network’s new partner firms – Miller Sha, LLP from the United States and LA&P Tax and Legal from Italy – were introduced.
Julio Aguado, Chairman of BGI LAW and current Chairman of BGI GLOBAL, gave a presentation detailing the projects the network is currently working on, as well as future challenges and the activities to be implemented.
We have a whole year ahead of us, during which we will continue to work towards expanding our network’s presence into a greater number of jurisdictions.
