1989
BALMS ABOGADOS is founded
The firm was established with a mission focused on specialized legal advice and building professional relationships based on trust and continuity.
1991
Opening of the Madrid office
The firm expands its structure with the addition of the Madrid office, strengthening its capacity to advise companies and transactions nationwide.
1996
Creation of BGI GLOBAL
Balms Group International (BGI) is formed as an international network of independent law firms focused on legal advice for transactions and matters with an international dimension. Currently BGI GLOBAL.
1999
Regional expansion in Galicia
BGI establishes its presence in Vigo, consolidating its footprint in northwestern Spain and expanding its legal coverage nationwide.
2002
Creation of the BGI Foundation for Children
The BGI Foundation for Children is created, a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for children’s rights and developing international cooperation projects.
2022
Appointment of honorary consul
Óscar Gómez Monasterio, partner of the firm, is appointed Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Andalusia. The Honorary Consulate sets up one of its headquarters at the firm’s offices in Marbella, strengthening the firm’s international connection on the Costa del Sol.
2023
Evolution to BGI LAW
The organization adopts the name BGI LAW, reinforcing the firm’s integration within the international BGI GLOBAL structure.
